Director, Data Science and Forecasting

Edwards Lifesciences seeks a Director of Data Science and Forecasting to lead advanced analytics and financial planning strategy. This role involves establishing a forecasting center of excellence, developing predictive models, and advising executive leadership on data-driven decision-making for Corporate Finance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute forecasting and advanced analytics strategy with roadmap for predictive models, scenario planning, and AI/ML applications
• Lead Advanced Forecasting Center of Excellence, setting standards for model governance, validation, methodologies, and planning playbooks
• Design, deploy, and continuously improve forecasting models for revenue, margins, operating expenses, cash flow, and workforce planning
• Partner with FP&A and business stakeholders to integrate forecasting insights into planning, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making
• Serve as subject matter expert and trusted advisor to executive leadership on analytical findings and recommendations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Biostatistics, or related quantitative field
• 10+ years of experience in data science, forecasting, advanced analytics, quantitative modeling, or finance analytics
• Demonstrated success developing and operationalizing forecasting and predictive models for business decisions
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Finance, FP&A, Data & Analytics, IT, and business teams
• Experience building analytics capabilities, governance frameworks, or centers of excellence
• Master's degree preferred; PhD preferred for highly advanced modeling environments

Compensation: $174,000-$246,000 base (California)
