Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine

As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technicians, you are a liaison between our internists and our clientsregardingpatient histories, care instructions, lab results, patient updates, and other topics as requested by the doctors. You will be involved with client contact through phone calls, email, and in person conversations. Additionally, you will beassistingwith endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, filling prescriptions, takingx rays, and obtaining lab samples. Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skillsrequired.This role will assist all three Internists and all IM nurses as well. As an IM VeterinaryTechnician,you will... Set up constant rate infusions (CRI). Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg,etc.). Induce,monitorand recover anesthesia Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures. Set up andassistwith endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean andmaintainequipment followingprocedure. Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations. Additionaljob duties as assigned. Why BluePearl?
