PRN Speech Language Pathologist

Williamsburg, Virginia Hiring Range: $55.00 - $63.00 hourly. Actual pay is determined by program, work commitment and business needs. Overview The Speech Language Pathologist carries out an individualized program for patients with acute and chronic health conditions to maximize their quality of life and achieve their functional goals. The therapist will also maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff. What you will do Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Provide augmentative and alternative communication systems for severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders such as ASD or progressive neurological disorders. Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals. Carry out treatment plan and modify it to maximize therapeutic benefit, meet discharge criteria and return to optimal level of care. Record patient's progress and modify the plan of care. Build trusting collaborative relationships with a multi‑disciplinary team to support patient care needs. Actively participate in multi‑disciplinary team meetings. Assist in training and support of all team members, volunteers and students. Qualifications Education : Masters Degree, Speech Language Pathology (Required) Doctoral Degree, Speech Language Pathology (Required) Experience : 1 year Speech Language Pathology (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications : Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – The American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) Upon Hire (Required) Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire (Required) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) – ASHA Upon Hire (Optional) CPR/BLS Certification – American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 days (Required) To learn more about being a team member with Riverside Health System visit us at #J-18808-Ljbffr
