Senior Accountant, General Ledger

The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this individual will play a critical role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, annual audit, equity accounting, and continuous process improvement.The ideal candidate combines a strong technical accounting foundation with a passion for automation, operational excellence, and scalable processes. This role is defined for a high-performing accounting professional who is ready to develop into an Accounting Manager within the next few years.Location: San Francisco, CA (3 days/week in office—Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays). #LI-HybridWhat You'll DoPrepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses for assigned GL areas (fixed assets, prepaids, leases, accruals, intercompany)Own the equity roll-forward and stock-based compensation accounting (ASC 718), partnering with Legal, HR, and CartaPrepare supporting schedules and footnotes for audited financial statementsServe as a primary point of contact for external auditors within your areasIdentify and drive process automation and close efficiency improvementsPartner cross-functionally with Revenue, Payroll, AP/AR, FP&A, and IT; mentor staff accountants as the team growsAbout YouBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred (or in progress)4-7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at a high-growth SaaS company2-4 years of Big Four experience strongly preferredStrong U.S. GAAP knowledge, including equity accounting, ASC 350-40, and ASC 842Experience with QuickBooks Online, Carta, and FloQast or BlackLineAdvanced Excel skills and comfort using AI/automation tools to improve accounting workflowsPreferred QualificationsExperience with NetSuite ERPExperience participating in a NetSuite implementation, ERP conversion, or financial systems transformation.Exposure to ASC 606 revenue recognition.IPO readiness or SOX experience is a plus.About PilotPilot launched in 2017 to bring the back office into the modern era.
