Where You'll Work

As a Operating Room RN At Holy Cross Hospital Salt Lake,you will be circulating for a diverse caseload across 10 OR suites, averaging 350-400 procedures per month. The facility is a Center of Excellence in Robotics, Total Joints, and Bariatrics. Additional surgical services include: Neurosurgery, General, ENT, Podiatry, Plastics, Pain Management, and Endoscopy. Staff are cross-trained across all services and provide support for Same Day Surgery, IV therapy, and Pre/Post Cath Lab operations.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our RN, you will assume responsibility for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patient/family to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient, advancing modern nursing through compassionate care.

• Assess patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
• Evaluates patient's response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including, but not limited to, IV's, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
• Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner.

We are offering up to $10,000 relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements

Schedule: 40hrs/week- Days- Variable shifts per surgical volume and current unit needs.


Call Required: 5-7 call shifts per 6week schedule

30 Min Call back radius required.


Job Requirements

Required

• Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• RN License in state of employment
• Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly

Preferred

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• One (1) year experience
• Previous OR experience
