Industrial Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer for a direct hire opportunity supporting manufacturing process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives in Jayuya, Puerto Rico.

The Industrial Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams in a collaborative manufacturing environment where continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence are valued. This is a strong opportunity to contribute to meaningful process optimization projects, partner with supportive leadership, and help drive measurable improvements across filling, sealing, printing, packaging, and related manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, waste, and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze production, quality, operational, and business data to identify trends and recommend optimization strategies.
- Support continuous improvement projects involving filling, sealing, printing, packaging, and other manufacturing processes.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Process Excellence, and problem-solving tools to improve productivity, cycle time, quality, and capacity.
- Lead or support cross-functional teams during process improvement initiatives and implementation activities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, business cases, and project documentation for management and key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing process evaluation, optimization, or continuous improvement.
- Experience analyzing manufacturing, operational, or quality data.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Jayuya, Puerto Rico.
- Commitment to maintaining safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and accurate project documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience with filling, sealing, printing, or packaging processes.
- Knowledge of Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, root cause analysis, and waste reduction.
- Lean Six Sigma training or certification.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
