Associate Superintendent of Education for Administration Florida Conference in Altamonte Springs, FL The Associate Superintendent for Administration assists the Superintendent in providing leadership, supervision, and support to educators and schools to ensure the best possible educational opportunities for students are provided throughout the Florida Conference. Specific responsibilities include overseeing personnel placement, supervising secondary educators, mentoring school administrators, coordinating school accreditations, guiding the schools in scholarship compliance issues, and other duties as assigned. The Associate Superintendent promotes excellence in instruction, curriculum implementation, program quality, teacher development, and operational compliance while advancing the mission and philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist education. This individual collaborates with educational leaders to strengthen programs, support student achievement, and ensure alignment with the educational standards and objectives of the Florida Conference Office of Education. The Associate Superintendent also represents the Florida Conference Office of Education at conference, union, and other educational meetings as assigned. Required Experience Knowledge and Skills Required Thorough knowledge of the Adventist school system, instructional practices, and assessment strategies. Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and supervisory skills. Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with a high level of friendliness and other aspects of strongly developed interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, administrators, board members, parents, and community stakeholders. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Requires a high level of well‑developed organizational, planning, time management, and problem‑solving skills. Must be self‑directed, detail‑oriented, service‑minded, and highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to follow through on projects and assignments in a timely manner. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must possess strong decision‑making skills and accountability to leadership and the department. Proficiency in current educational technology, software applications, and instructional tools. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain strict confidentiality. Education and Experience Required A master's degree in school administration or a related field is preferred (minimum of a bachelor's degree). North American Division Teacher Certification is required, preferably with a Principal or Administrator endorsement. A minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in school administration. Successful experience in instructional leadership, teacher supervision, coaching, and program development. Successful experience in managing and placing personnel preferred.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide documentation upon employment.
