SQL DBA

Immediate need for a talented SQL DBA . This is a 12+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Omaha NE (Hybrid) . Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances. Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies. Manage database backups, restores, and disaster recovery plans. Implement and maintain database security (roles, permissions, encryption). Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis. Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (T-SQL, PowerShell). Collaborate with developers for query optimization and schema design. Maintain documentation for database configurations and processes. Key Requirements and Technology Experience Must have skills: SQL DB, Automation, Azure SQL, AWS RDS, T-SQL, PowerShell. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 5+ years of hands‑on SQL Server DBA experience. Strong knowledge of T-SQL, indexing, and query optimization. Experience with Always On Availability Groups, replication, and clustering. Familiarity with cloud database services (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus. Good problem‑solving and communication skills.
