Experienced Automotive BDC Representative

We are looking for an Experienced Automotive BDC Representative who knows how to turn leads into appointments and appointments into opportunities.

This is not an entry-level call center position. We are looking for a proven automotive BDC professional who understands the importance of speed-to-lead, consistent follow-up, effective phone skills, CRM activity, appointment setting, and appointment show rates.

What You'll Do

Respond quickly and professionally to inbound internet, phone, text, and email leads.

Make a high volume of outbound calls and follow-up contacts with prospective customers.

Convert internet and phone leads into qualified showroom and service appointments.

Follow up with unsold customers, missed appointments, previous leads, and existing customer opportunities.

Confirm appointments and proactively work to improve appointment show rates.

Use proven phone techniques to engage customers, overcome objections, and secure appointments.

Maintain accurate and detailed customer records in the dealership CRM.

Follow dealership lead-management processes and established follow-up schedules.

Communicate current inventory, vehicle availability, dealership promotions, incentives, and service opportunities.

Work closely with Sales Managers, Sales Consultants, and Service Advisors to ensure a seamless customer handoff.

Consistently meet or exceed BDC performance goals and KPIs.

Track personal performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion results.

Deliver a professional and exceptional customer experience on every interaction.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate has:

2+ years of automotive BDC, internet sales, or dealership lead-management experience.

A proven track record of setting qualified appointments.

Strong phone skills and the ability to confidently communicate with customers.

Experience handling both inbound and outbound customer calls.

Experience working automotive internet leads from multiple sources.

Strong CRM experience and excellent documentation habits.

A consistent, disciplined approach to lead follow-up.

The ability to handle objections and keep conversations moving toward an appointment.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

A competitive, goal-oriented mindset.

Professional communication skills and a customer-first attitude.

The ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.

Experience With These Systems Is a Plus

Experience with automotive CRM and dealership technology such as:

VinSolutions

CDK

Other automotive CRM and lead-management platforms

Experience with internet lead providers, digital retailing, texting platforms, call tracking, and automated lead follow-up systems is also a plus.

Schedule

Full-time automotive dealership position. Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on dealership business needs.
