Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Connecticut
- Experience in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement student-specific therapy plans
- Compassion for diverse student populations and the ability to adapt interventions accordingly
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapeutic services to students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop individualized education programs (IEPs), participate in student plan meetings, and maintain accurate progress documentation
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school teams, and families to support student goals
- Provide consultation, guidance, and resources to staff regarding student speech/language services
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where students can thrive
- Offer support throughout the full school year, ensuring continuity of care
