Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every-other-weekend required (Saturday & Sunday) | Holiday rotation with permanent staff

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with patient ratios of approximately 1:5–6, with acuity-dependent variation
• Read and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitoring equipment
• Perform aerosol treatments for non-vented patients and conduct EKGs
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and IV team to coordinate patient care
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, chest pain, pneumonia, COPD, chronic renal disease, cardiac cath, orthopedic, and oncology conditions
• Participate in floor-specific orientation with a preceptor (1–2 shifts)

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
• Valid, unexpired driver's license (copy required at submission)
• Compliance with facility dress code: Royal Blue scrubs; no false nails permitted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or step-down setting
• Familiarity with Accudose pharmacy dispensing systems
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP patient monitoring in a non-critical care environment
