Staff Accountant Position

Salary: $53,500.00

We have partnered with a growing organization in the Northern New Jersey area to provide them with a staff accountant. Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 1 to 3 years of accounting or finance experience
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Strong excel skills including reporting and data management
• High attention to detail with strong organization and time management skills

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Assist with preparation and posting of journal entries to the general ledger
• Support month end and year end close processes
• Perform account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, receivables, accruals, and intercompany accounts
• Maintain and update accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with preparation and organization of documentation for external audits
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP standards
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Support financial reporting and ad hoc reporting as needed

Requirements of the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 1 to 3 years of accounting or finance experience
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• High attention to detail with strong organization and time management skills
• Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor or similar accounting software
• Familiarity with advanced excel functions including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
• Exposure to financial analysis or reporting

• 100% onsite
• No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
