Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant We are seeking for our client, a Staff Accountant to join a leading direct-to-consumer insurance services business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a highly skilled team supporting the profitability and financial operations of the business. You will collaborate across departments, interact with business stakeholders, and play a key role in financial reporting and process improvement. Base pay range $68,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities Manage reconciliation of costs related to partner and digital lead generation. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure proper cost recognition and timely resolution of discrepancies. Execute month-end closing processes for costs and accruals. Reconcile general ledger accounts for accurate reporting. Prepare journal entries and payroll-related reconciliations. Handle intercompany activity for proper financial statement presentation. Assist with external audit requests. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Support special projects as needed and contribute positively to the team environment. Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 3+ years of accounting experience (general ledger, reconciliations). Strong knowledge of GAAP. Proficiency in Excel; NetSuite experience a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Critical thinking and high attention to detail. Ideal Candidate Polished professional with a clean background and strong communication skills. Open to working 2 days per week in the Fort Lee, NJ office or Canton, OH office.
