About the community Affordable, luxury community is 147 units located in Austin, TX 78751. Summary and Responsibilities The Housekeeper reports directly to the Community Manager. As the Housekeeper, you are responsible for the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of the community. Positively represents DMA by adhering to quality standards and a customer focused approach. Works with Community Manager to ensure that organizational goals are achieved while adhering to DMA community standards. Collaborates with maintenance staff to meet quality standards for the entire community, including all commons areas, vacant and model units. Cleans all vacant units monthly; cleans models weekly. Cleans all make-ready units after maintenance completes the unit turn. Reports all safety hazards to the Community Manager immediately. Tracks all supplies, notifying the Community Manager when inventory is low. Works with Community Manager to repair or order cleaning equipment. Other duties as assigned. What you will need to be successful Previous experience as a housekeeper or janitorial position. Must be able to prioritize work, organize tasks, and handle all with a strong sense of urgency. This position requires strong attention to detail. General knowledge of computers and email. Working Environment/Physical Demands Normal physical activity can be strenuous and may involve prolonged standing, walking, reaching, bending, crouching, stooping, and laying. The utilization of cleaning tools and chemicals will be required for this position and the employee must be able to lift, push/pull, or carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to inclement weather. The Housekeeper may also be exposed to dangerous chemicals, and skin irritants (i.e. cleaning solutions, solvents, insecticides). The use of goggles, gloves, safety boots, and other safety equipment may be required. While performing the demands described above, the Housekeeper will regularly be required to talk, hear, stand, and use hand and fingers to handle/feel objects, operate tools or controls, operate office equipment, and reach with hands/arms.
