Whether it's improving products, supporting customers, or positively influencing peers and the community, the contributions of our people matter.Shift:The regular hours for this position are day shift.Job Description:The Sr Mechanical Design Engineer will drive the design and development of probe card mechanical components and assembly processes, ensuring robust, manufacturable, and reliable solutions. This role will also lead efforts in characterization, modeling, reliability analysis, and design debug, supporting activities from qualification through production testing. Responsibilities include failure analysis, documentation, technology transfer, and training to ensure seamless integration across development and manufacturing.Key Responsibilities:Mechanical Design:Design probe card mechanical components, development test vehicles, and tooling fixtures.Generate, release, and maintain design drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).Process Development:Develop probe card mechanical assembly processes, create work instructions, and conduct production training.Performance Characterization:Execute fundamental probe card performance characterization in a lab environment.Support integration engineers in product characterization activities.Issue Resolution:Provide support for production and customer applications related to mechanical assembly issues.Recommend and implement corrective actions based on root cause analysis.Collaboration & Documentation:Work closely with R&D, Process Integration, and Operations teams to ensure timely task completion.Maintain accurate documentation for designs, processes, and training materials.Skills: Cross-Departmental Collaboration, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Detail-Oriented, Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing (GD&T), JMP Pro, Material Selection, Mechanical Components Design, Microsoft Office, Multitasking, Problem Solving, Python (Programming Language), SolidWorks, Structural AnalysisEducation & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience | RequiredPay Range:$90,500.00 - $118,755.00Pay Range Explained:This role in Livermore, California pays between $90,500.00 and $118,755.00 per year, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations.
