MTS Systems Design Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking MTS Systems Design Engineers to administer a publicly accessible, multi-site cloud environment enabling access to the latest AMD hardware. Responsibilities include technical architecture, engineering, and operations of the network connectivity and security of this environment, collaboration with data center, IT security, IT network, and application teams, implementing, maintaining, and debugging LAN/WAN infrastructure, configuring and maintaining security infrastructure and policies, and applying engineering principles to design, develop, and test company proprietary products. Remote work is allowed. Travel No travel required. Qualifications Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role. OR a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in the same fields and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience. Specific Skills Required Handling switch and router products Designing, configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing network hardware, topologies and deployments Unix or Linux environments Networking concepts, architecture, topology, network protocols including BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, IGMP, DHCP, DNS, Network Management protocols, NAT, Multicast, QoS (RoCE/DSCP), monitoring/analytics Scripting with Ansible or Python Developing automation for infrastructure deployment and metrics collection Implementing appropriate security and monitoring tools for cloud networks Benefits Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, vision, retirement, and other standard corporate benefits for AMD employees.
