Hours: 1st shift, days will vary | No Supervisory Responsibilities | No Travel | Pay commensurate with experience

Full-time, day shift position in Plant Engineering.

JOB SUMMARY:

Engages inmaintainingand repairing physical structures and utility systems of hospital buildings andmaintaininggrounds.May supervise or coordinate activities of otherworkersas necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Engages in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry,woodworkand furnishings of hospital.
2. Maintains and repairs building utility systems, such as electrical wiring and controls, heating and ventilating systems and water distributing and plumbing systems without supervision with goal of 80%.
3. Engages ininstalling, servicing, and repairing mechanical equipment without supervision withgoalof 80%.
4. Interprets specifications and job orders without supervision witha goalof 80%.
5. Adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machinesand equipment without supervision withgoalof 80%.
6. Analyzes and resolves workproblems orassistsworkers in solving work problems.
7. Maintains time and maintenance records on equipment without supervision witha goalof 80%.
8. May confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments without supervisionwithgoalof 80%.
9. May confer with workers representatives to resolve grievances.
10. Sets up machines and equipment without supervision witha goalof 80%.
11. Requires minimal supervision in performance of job duties.
12. Processes patient chargeable itemsin accordance withHospital Policy including designated time schedule of department 98% of the time.
13. Completes duties in a time efficient manner 95% of the time.
14. Understandshow to prioritize responsibilities to ensure completion of duties.
15. Demonstrates knowledge of Facility Disaster, Safety, Infection Control andHaz-Com policies.
16. Demonstrates knowledge to follow Department policy and procedure during downtime ofcomputerized system.
17. Adheres to the HIPPA and privacy policies and procedures.Reports any violation or appearance of violation of the policies and procedures and/or laws and regulations addressed in the Compliance Plan and the hospital Code of Conduct to the Compliance Officer, a member of Senior Leadership, or to the Department Director.

Must be willing to receive all required vaccinations (i.e., flu shot, etc.).
