Parenting Support Services Program Director

Bridges Healthcare, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Parenting Support Services Program Director, for their Family Centered Services Division in New Haven. Salary: $68,000 - $75,000 commensurate of experience. Benefits Competitive pay commensurate with experience Medical and Dental with significant employer contribution to the premiums and HSA (if chosen as your plan) 403(b) with a generous employer contribution Employer-Paid Life Insurance Paid Vacation with 22 days to start, paid personal days, paid sick time, paid winter holiday break days, plus 11 paid holidays Program Description The Parenting Support Services (PSS) program provides free, in-home parenting education and family support for families with children ages 0–18. Using evidence-based models such as Triple P and Circle of Security Parenting, the program strengthens parenting skills, promotes healthy parent-child relationships, and supports safe, nurturing home environments. The PSS Program Director oversees program operations, staff supervision, quality assurance, and community collaboration to ensure services are family-centered, evidence-based, and aligned with agency and funder expectations. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Human Services, or related field preferred; Bachelor's degree with significant supervisory experience considered Minimum three years of direct service and leadership experience Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, family systems, attachment, and abuse/neglect prevention Experience working with high-needs children and families Familiarity with Triple P and/or Circle of Security preferred Strong communication, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills Ability to supervise staff, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with community partners Demonstrated cultural responsiveness and ability to work effectively with diverse populations Valid driver's license, reliable transportation on a consistent basis, and ability to travel locally Essential Responsibilities Program Administration Provide leadership and oversight of the PSS program Ensure compliance with agency policies, evidence-based practices, and grant requirements Oversee quality improvement, outcomes tracking, and RBA reporting Support program development, grant activities, and service expansion Maintain accurate program documentation and data systems Staff Supervision & Development Supervise, coach, and evaluate Parent Educators and assigned staff Coordinate supervision, staff meetings, training, and case consultation Assist with hiring, onboarding, and staff development Support accreditation and fidelity requirements for parenting models Service Coordination & Oversight Oversee referrals, case assignments, waitlists, and communication with referral sources Provide clinical/programmatic consultation and support trauma-informed, family-centered services Ensure timely documentation, assessments, and provider communication Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards Community Collaboration Build partnerships with DCF, schools, healthcare providers, and community agencies Represent agency in meetings, outreach, and collaborative initiatives Maintain communication with referral partners and stakeholders Additional Expectations Attend required meetings, trainings and supervision Manage schedule independently and effectively Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Programs Bridges is STAR-LRP AND HRSA Approved, and some positions may be eligible for loan repayment through these programs.
