Production Planner

Job TitlePay Range: $60.00hr - $70.00hrRequirements/Must HaveBachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field with a minimum of 6+ years of prior relevant experience.Graduate degree with a minimum of 4+ years of experience.In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10+ years of prior related experience.Experience in debug and integration on prototypes and flight like hardware through completion of FQT.Experience in Embedded C debugging/integration and familiarity with NASA CFS or Flight Software in general.Experience in developing software in C, C++, Java, and Python.Experience in Real-time Operating Systems: VxWorks, QNX, Linux, etc.Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, orchestration tools, Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins) for infrastructure management and automation.Experience in integrating and testing embedded processing systems to the software/hardware level.Experience in embedded software development using C.Proficient with object oriented C++.Experience in embedded systems design, including use of an RTOS.Ability to obtain and retain a security clearance is required.ResponsibilitiesContribute to lifecycle of embedded real-time systems by designing, coding, testing, debugging, and updating developmental and fielded systems.Maintain and review requirements, design documentation and source code.Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team.Contribute to the development of technical responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by providing effort estimation, rationale (basis of estimate), and risk analysis based on Statements of Work (SOWs).Work mostly autonomously and mentor junior engineers.Nice to HaveExperience troubleshooting on embedded targets.Experience in object-oriented software architecture and design.Working knowledge of signal processing, control systems, networking.Experience with drivers/hardware interfaces including PCIe, 1553, RS232, SPI, I2C, FPGAs, and other unique hardware.Knowledge of protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, EtherCAT, CAN, RTPS/DDS.Strong depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution.Understanding of operating systems including Linux, Unix, VxWorks, Windows.Knowledge of UML diagrams such as class diagrams, component diagrams, state diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc.Knowledge of modeling software: Matlab, Simulink, MATRIXx, Sci-Lab, Octave.Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Perl.Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review techniques.Knowledge of DevOps technologies such as virtualization, Docker, build automation (e.g. Jenkins, CMake, git/Bitbucket, Artifactory).Experience with test frameworks such as Google Test/Google Mock.Ability to understand schematics.SkillsEmbedded C.C++.Java.Python.VxWorks.QNX.Linux.DevOps.CI/CD.Jira.Bitbucket.Jenkins.RTOS.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Qualification And EducationBachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred).Graduate Degree in a related field.Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience.
