Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Illinois requiring at least one year of experience and BLS, ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital medical-surgical unit caring for a diverse adult patient population
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 6:45 to 19:15
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• Floating to other units is required
• Documentation done using Epic EMR
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Requests for time off are limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of application
• Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
• Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is preferred
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
• Pending license not accepted
