Registered Nurse/Cath Lab

Location: Syracuse, NY

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 4x10s or 3x12s

4x10 schedule may include staggered shifts from 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Requirements:

Active New York State RN License/Registration
Current BLS Certification
Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care RN experience within the past 2 years
Cath Lab experience required
Experience in hospitals of similar or greater size and acuity preferred
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures
Assist with patient preparation, procedural support, and post-procedure recovery
Perform patient assessments and monitor hemodynamic status throughout procedures
Administer and monitor moderate sedation as appropriate
Function in circulating and procedural support roles within the Cath Lab
Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record
Deliver high-quality patient care with minimal orientation and supervision

Assignment Details:

On-call required approximately 9-10 days per month
On-call rotation includes one Friday and one weekend per month
Holiday call coverage may be required depending on contract dates
Assist with prep and recovery areas as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

4+ years of Cath Lab experience
Comfortable with both sedation and circulating responsibilities
EPIC EMR proficiency
Previous experience in trauma centers or large acute care facilities
