Practice Manager

An established professional services firm is seeking a Practice Manager to support its IP and IP Litigation group across multiple offices. This role focuses on team leadership, associate staffing, and delivering data-driven insights to senior leadership. Our client is a highly regarded professional services firm within the legal industry, known for its strong tenure, collaborative culture, and structured yet flat organizational model. The firm has a significant Intellectual Property and IP Litigation practice, with teams distributed across key US markets and a reputation for investing in its people through competitive compensation, benefits, and long-term career stability. Description Lead and manage a team of paralegals and technical specialists across multiple offices Oversee associate and senior associate staffing, workflow allocation, and utilization Analyze performance, utilization, and productivity data to deliver actionable insights Partner with senior leadership and practice group leaders to optimize team effectiveness Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across offices, including West Coast counterparts Prepare and present clear, strategic reporting (not just raw data) to senior stakeholders Support operational and practice management initiatives across the IP function MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Profile A successful Practice Manager should have: Minimum 5 years of experience in legal or professional services environments At least 3 years of direct people management experience (required) Proven experience in staffing, work allocation, and resource management Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights Experience supporting IP, litigation, or comparable practice areas is preferred (but not essential) Confident working in a highly visible, senior-facing role within a complex organization Comfortable operating at Manager level long-term within a flat structure Job Offer Base salary range of $153,000-$192,000 Lucrative discretionary bonus (typically 15-20%+) Generous PTO (starting at 25 days, increasing with tenure) Competitive 401(k): 3% match (50% of 6%) after 1 year 7.5% profit sharing after 2 years 2-month paid sabbatical after 10 years (with eligibility for a second) Flexible location (Boston, New York, or Washington, DC) with hybrid working model If you are ready to take the next step in your career as a Practice Manager, we encourage you to apply today! #J-18808-Ljbffr
