Practice Manager

Job Summary Supervise front line staff and manage the dental practice, including budgetary responsibilities, financial reporting, facilities and materials management, staff administration, payroll, and billing quality. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility, advanced leadership, and resource management skills. Serve as the public relations interface with patients and families, train and direct office staff, and ensure the overall quality of billing information. Key Responsibilities Monitor performance related to Accounts Receivable. Improve departmental income and collections. Manage charge capture and coordinate interface improvements. Ensure accurate billing of procedures. Conduct charge capture reconciliations. Develop and implement a demographics interface quality control program. Maintain quality of billing demographics. Establish and enforce internal controls for payables, receivables, and payroll. Perform fiscal accountability and review control systems. Design, implement, and monitor procedures. Ensure proper patient throughput and correct information. Measure accuracy of information. Supervise front-end staff and assist in monthly team meetings. Ensure a competent team exists for optimal patient care. Minimize vacancies, retain staff, and properly document meetings. Model Montefiore Excellence and collaborate with the Practice Manager to maintain high-level customer service. Maintain an environment of excellence for patients, associates, and physicians. Achieve high scores in associate surveys and Press Ganey effective rounding. Perform staff selection, performance appraisals, staff development, and disciplinary actions up to terminations. Maintain up-to-date personnel records and conduct timely performance evaluations. Prepare check requests, requisitions, SAP orders, and Office Depot orders. Optimize staff utilization and resources. Ensure appropriate turnaround on paperwork. Maintain budget lines by ordering products within constraints. Ensure financial counseling arrangements are adhered to by patients. Educate patients and providers on billing procedures. Review expected payment analysis and encounter forms. Ensure accurate and timely revenue capture. Reconcile services rendered to maximize revenue. Assist with patient registration, scheduling, approvals, referrals, counseling, receiving payments, and related clerical tasks. Audit payment receipt reports. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree preferred. Supervisory or dental practice management experience required. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with physicians, associates, and patients. Financial management skills, including mathematical concepts and calculations, and business planning. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Prior dental revenue cycle experience preferred. Location: Purchase, New York. Work Shift: Day (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM).
