Associate Project Manager

Employment Type: Full-time, exempt Trellis is a mission-driven nonprofit housing organization dedicated to expanding access to safe, affordable housing. We are seeking a Project Manager to support our real estate development team by managing assigned housing projects through construction and close-out. This role operates at the project level , supporting the Director of Real Estate Development, who leads program strategy, portfolio planning, and funding. The Project Manager focuses on execution, coordination, and delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day coordination of assigned development projects Track schedules, budgets, and construction progress Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and inspectors Conduct site visits and support inspections and close-out Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting Escalate risks or deviations to the Director as appropriate Qualifications 2–5+ years of residential construction, rehab, or housing project experience Ability to read construction drawings and specifications Familiarity with permitting and inspection processes Affordable housing or publicly funded project experience a plus Compensation Philosophy This role is intentionally structured as a project-level execution position.
