Job Title: Inpatient Registered Nurse - IRP Department: East | Tower 8 Medical/Surgical/Urology/Nephrology Unit Overview The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. This position supports positive patient outcomes, maximizes patient involvement in their own care plans, and reduces length of hospitalization. The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, patient experience, quality and safety, and cost‑effective care. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care and support services to patients and their families. Assume responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, delegation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients, following the professional practice model. Direct and supervise nursing care delivered by other members of the patient care team. Minimum Education Bachelor’s Level Degree in Nursing. Required Qualifications Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accredited program. Current Ohio nursing license or interim permit. Experience in a relevant care setting preferred.
