WCS Healthcare is currently partnering with a New York State Psychiatric Hospital seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join its Adult Mental Health team.

We are seeking compassionate, clinically skilled Registered Nurses with at least one (1) year of experience working with the adult mental health population . This opportunity offers the chance to provide high-quality psychiatric nursing care in a state-operated inpatient setting dedicated to supporting patient recovery and wellness.

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Setting: Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital
• Patient Population: Adult Mental Health
• Schedule: Five (5) shifts per week
• Shift Availability:
  • Days
  • Evenings
  • Nights
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract Opportunities Available

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting.
• Conduct assessments, develop nursing care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor patients for changes in mental and physical status and communicate findings to the treatment team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and patient care conferences.
• Support crisis intervention, behavioral management, and de-escalation efforts as needed.
• Foster a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes patient dignity, recovery, and well-being.

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience working with the Adult Mental Health population .
• Current BLS Certification required.
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
• Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, inpatient mental health, or forensic settings preferred.
