Finance and Insurance Manager

The Finance and Insurance Manager structures car deals for clients with average to above credit, in compliance with finance lender guidelines and auto dealership policies, resulting in quick funding, and a high level of customer satisfaction. Knows and implements dealership policies and procedures.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities will include handling the delivery of customers through our dealership's finance and insurance (F&I) department, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in securing financing and insurance options for their vehicle purchases.
• Present and explain financing and insurance options to customers in a clear and transparent manner.
• Build and maintain relationships with lending institutions to secure competitive financing rates.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing automotive finance and insurance.
• Work closely with sales personnel to provide finance options that meet customers' needs.
• Review and approve financing deals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in financing and insurance practices.
• Knowledgeable in state regulations regarding finance and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
• Structures deals in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines.
• Verifies accuracy of all material information on the credit application and submits to lender.
• Maintains confidentiality of customer information.
• Discloses financial information to customers.
• Evaluates new lender programs.
• Trains administrative personnel on assembling funding packages.
• Reviews funding packages prior to mailing.
• Shows and demonstrates vehicles when necessary.
• Designs and places advertising for special finance.
• Analyzes credit reports, able to recognize a conventional deal and turns over accordingly.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of financial analysis and strategy
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations and industry legislation
• Strong Analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Excellent Negotiation skills

Education and/or Experience

• Previous experience in automotive finance or general sales manager level role.
• Strong understanding of automotive financing and insurance processes and regulations.
• High school diploma is required and a degree in Finance, business, or accounting is preferred.
• Proficiency with finance and insurance software and tools.
• Recommend two years as an F&I Manager or assistant
• AFIP certification

Equipment, Machines and Software Used:

• Computer software: Microsoft Office to include Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to point, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.

Physical Exertion:

• Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Light exertion can involve sitting, walking and/or standing most of the time.

Environmental Conditions:

• Work is performed in an office setting.
• Occasional weekend and evening hours may be required.

• Hazards: Slips, trips and falls, ergonomic injuries, and occasional lifting.
• Safety Precautions: Breaks are encouraged to allow for stretching and training is provided covering slips, trips, and falls, safe lifting and stretching techniques.
