Finance Manager

Job Overview Finance Manager – Buffalo, NY Salary: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year Full‑time, day shift, negligible travel Responsibilities Manage and control trust funds, ensuring accurate and timely remittance to clients. Perform all accounting duties related to trust funds, revenue recognition for collection activities, and fees paid to attorneys. Prepare client invoices for collection services performed. Reconcile bank accounts, collection system records, and general ledger accounts. Ensure timely and accurate remittance of "trust funds" to clients and invoicing for debt collection activities. Interact with clients and provide "white glove" service to the company’s largest clients. Work closely with the Divisional Controller on task assistance. Hire, train, cross‑train, develop and appraise staff; take corrective action as necessary and consult with Human Resources. Continuously update and maintain process documentation related to all key tasks. Protect company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing sound internal controls. Maintain 100% confidentiality unless legal requirements apply. Provide assistance to other departments and teammates when needed. Supervise several trust accountants. Perform other duties as requested. Qualifications Bachelor of Science or similar degree. 5 years of experience as a senior accountant or business analyst; Order to Cash experience preferred. People management experience. Process optimization and re‑engineering experience preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with order to cash systems. Experience with accounting systems (NetSuite preferred). Ability to work with cross‑functional teams. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient written and telephone communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Fluency in English.
