Assistant Corporate Controller

About the Company: A publicly traded, SEC‑registered organization with a complex, multi‑entity structure and both domestic and international operations. About the Job: The Assistant Corporate Controller is a hands‑on leadership role reporting to the Corporate Controller, responsible for corporate accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. This position owns the corporate ledger and monthly close process, supports consolidation across business units, and leads key technical accounting initiatives while managing a small team. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing the monthly close process and preparation of corporate financial statements Reviewing reconciliations, journal entries, and account analyses to ensure accuracy and completeness Leading consolidation efforts in coordination with business unit controllers Analyzing financial results to identify trends, variances, and unusual activity Serving as a key liaison with internal and external auditors, including SOX compliance Managing technical accounting areas such as leases (ASC 842), impairments, and financial disclosures Preparing debt covenant calculations and supporting financial reporting requirements Conducting technical accounting research and drafting audit‑ready memos Supporting foreign currency risk analysis and hedging strategies Maintaining ERP and consolidation systems Coaching and developing accounting staff Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA required 5–8+ years of accounting experience, with public accounting experience preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and ERP systems Experience with domestic and international consolidations Proven ability to lead and develop accounting staff Compensation: $150,000 – $165,000 base salary plus bonus #J-18808-Ljbffr SelectOne
