Transportation Supervisor

Compensation Amount: 23.90 USD Hourly. The Transportation Supervisor oversees warehouse operations, including purchasing, shipping, receiving, and laundry. Ensures proper delivery of all products associated with park operating units. Maintains adequate vehicle fleet maintenance and oversees the transportation program, directly supervising shuttle drivers. This position reports to the Procurement & Transportation Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Drive truck on a daily basis. Perform vehicle pre‑trip safety inspection and maintain vehicle log. Safely load product, laundry, and recycling onto and off of truck, often unassisted. Maintain food temperature log of food supplies transported in vehicles. Enforce and comply with company and DOT safety policies and laws for everyone in the vehicle. Perform such other related duties as directed or required. SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Partial high school education required; high school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver’s license. Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management. Knowledge of the roadways in and around the city and resort. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30‑35 lbs. frequently, and more than 100 lbs. occasionally. Reading and writing work‑related documents in English. Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co‑workers and to speak clearly so that you can be understood. Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties. The work location is at Mount Rainier, Washington, at an altitude of up to 14,410 feet above sea level.
