The PositionSecure supply through high supplier performance & compliance to supply agreements for assigned material categories. Responsible for optimizing the Supply Chain for multiple production sites in NNPILP through data analysis, stakeholder management, problem solving & execution of changes. Lead the qualification of new materials, suppliers and supply chains for multiple production sites in NNPILP. Identify opportunities for operational improvements & seek agreements through consensus management.RelationshipsReports to Director or Manager.Essential FunctionsManage supplier capacity by establishing & coordinating purchase forecasts & matching supplier capacities to Novo Nordisk future production demandsManage supplier compliance to Novo Nordisk purchasing related requirements, including completion of supplier related change requestsDrive & contribute to supplier/supply risk management in the relevant sourcing categoriesIdentify, establish, design & share best practicesEnsure clear and timely communication to relevant stakeholders at all times and drive coordination when crisis management is needed to ensure materials are timely delivered to productionDrive & develop open and constructive customer relationships to advance mutual innovation and performanceSeeks out, builds, & maintains trusting & collaborative relationships & alliances with others inside & outside of the organization in ways that accomplish key business objectives; & helps others do the sameMonitor and drive supplier performance for the suppliers in terms of supplier adherence to agreements, supplier delivery on time, supplier quality performanceConduct supplier meetings, independently and in agreement with the Strategic Sourcing Managers, the Director of the department, or SoOp DK Inbound Supply ManagementCoordinate supplier audits (Quality & Responsible Sourcing) in cooperation with supplier audits & QA & participate in relevant auditsDrive and execute qualification of new suppliers/supply chains/raw materials and supply chain optimization projects in collaboration with QA, Strategic Sourcing Managers/SSIMS, Material Responsible and other relevant stakeholders with the objective of executing the Category Plan and solving specific issuesUnderstands broad organizational perspectives & delivers messages & presentation to various stakeholders to gain consensus for tactical initiatives & ideas, in the face of complexity or disagreement Develop & prepare summary reports & presentations as requiredFollow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther duties as assignedPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.).QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a relevant field of study from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredMay consider an Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience within supply chain, supplier management, key account management, purchasing, or logistics requiredMinimum of eight (8) years progressively responsible experience within supply chain, supplier management, key account management, purchasing or logistics requiredRaw Material Supplier Management &/or purchasing experience requiredExperience from the pharmaceutical industry or other regulated industries preferredProject Management experience preferredProficient with PCs, Microsoft Office Suite requiredExtensive experience in supplier collaboration & management of cross-organizational supply optimization projects preferredStrong knowledge of Project Management Methodologies, Processes & Purchasing practices preferredExtensive knowledge in in SAP or similar system preferredAbility to translate technical information into operational actions requiredDemonstrated experience in practical problem solving & process improvement methods requiredProject Management Tools, Ariba or other eSourcing & contracts management systems preferred Knowledge of US, EU regulations & guidelines, & application of GMP’s preferredExperience planning, organizing, managing execution, checking results, & revising work plans preferredStrong communication skills across multiple organizational levels requiredExperience with capacity management, purchase forecasts & matching supplier capacities with production demands preferredWe commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.At Novo Nordisk, we're not chasing quick fixes – we're creating lasting change for long-term health.
