Principal Recruiter, Tech

Responsibilities Lead all US hiring as the lead recruiter on the ground, managing around 30+ roles this year—mostly technical, plus senior leadership and executive searches. Run full‑cycle, sourcing‑led recruiting, building talent pipelines beyond inbound sources. Build best‑in‑class recruiting capability on the ground, working directly with founders and the executive team; defend quality data, push back when a search is not scoped to win, and move fast. Mentor a small US recruiting team and lift the standard around you. Bring an AI‑native way of working: build and experiment with AI tools, design workflows that accelerate recruiting, and train others to adopt them. Own the numbers that matter—pipeline velocity, offer acceptance, and time to hire—while maintaining the quality bar. Deliver a first‑class candidate experience with timely communication, thoughtful feedback, and authentic advocacy. Collaborate closely with the Move squad, sharing learnings, optimizing tools, and continually improving delivery quality. Adapt quickly to evolving client priorities and hiring challenges in high‑growth, fast‑paced environments. Requirements Senior, principal, or founding‑recruiter experience at a startup or scale‑up in a genuine high‑growth phase; own outcomes, not hand off candidates. Proven experience recruiting for Engineering, Data, or Product roles within tech scale‑ups or high‑growth environments with real exposure to leadership and executive hiring. Strong understanding of technical hiring landscapes—modern engineering stacks, data, and product org design. Executive presence and resilience; able to push back when a search is not scoped to win and carry a room with founders. AI fluency beyond prompting; have built workflows, reports, or systems that change how recruiting runs. Track record of building or improving a recruiting function or system, not just contributing to one. Comfort operating with autonomy and speed, including calling the move in the moment when a hire is on the line. US‑based and able to be in Mountain View three days a week. A technical educational background, e.g., computer science, that enables credible conversations with technical candidates. Experience with a modern ATS (Ashby a plus) and interview‑intelligence tools such as Metaview; the instinct to use tools well matters more than specific logos. #J-18808-Ljbffr Move
