Position Summary CT Technologist (PRN) – Texas Health Stephenville. Work Location Texas Health Stephenville, 411 Belknap, TX 76401. Work Environment Radiology – CT Scan Services. Work Hours Shift coverage: 11:00p‑7:00a (Mon‑Thu), 7:00p‑7:00a (Fri‑Sun), 7:00a‑7:00p (Sat‑Sun). Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or an Associate Degree (preferred). Minimum one year of radiologic technologist experience without ARRT‑CT, or no experience with ARRT‑CT. ARRT® certification required; ARRT®‑CT required, or if 1year experience within 12months, ARRT®‑CT may be waived. Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) by the Texas Department of Health or Texas Medical Board. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification prior to providing independent patient care. Responsibilities Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family member prior to and during the exam. Image the correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols. Perform complex procedures, including age‑related criteria and developmental considerations. Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, and make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed. Send and transfer images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Assess and recognize the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions. Operate, care for, and maintain CT equipment. Prepare the room for examination, including suction, oxygen, and supplies. Administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
