Licensed Clinical Supervisor (Healthcare) $3000 sign-on bonus/$1000 retention bonus General Description of the job The OSLC Developments Inc. (ODI) Clinic seeks a warm and enthusiastic Licensed Clinical Supervisor to provide training, support, and oversight to clinicians providing substance use, mental health, and behavioral health treatment to youth in Lane County. This position will work mainly with the Adolescent and Family Services (AFS) program and provide limited support to the SWIFT program. The Clinical Supervisor will primarily provide training, support, and oversight to clinicians providing school- and clinic-based substance use and mental health treatment (AFS). Client sessions take place in the home, school, at the center, or in the community. Program supervisor duties will include collaborating with schools, coordinating with collateral agencies, conducting mental health and/or substance use assessments, completing documentation, and supervising team members. Will attend and participate in weekly group and individual supervision. Will also include weekly on-call availability for supervision of counselors during service times, including but not limited to the management of mental health and behavioral crises. The Clinical Supervisor will also provide limited support to the SWIFT program with their review, approval, and sign off on service treatment plans and assessments completed by the SWIFT Program Supervisor. They will also attend monthly supervision meetings and provide occasional case consultation and crisis response support. The Clinical Supervisor will follow reporting procedures for situations including abuse, harm to self, and other risk to the participants. A strong Clinical Supervisor will understand the importance of balancing positive reinforcement of staff with the need for consistent monitoring (e.g., ensuring paperwork is filed in a timely manner), and will understand the value of warmth and humor in daily interactions. The Clinical Supervisor will be well versed in HIPAA compliance and will assist our clinicians in maintaining compliance with all procedures. All applicants must feel comfortable providing services to students with significant emotional and behavioral challenges and/or substance use problems and their families in home, school, and community settings. This will include regularly collaborating with teachers and administrators. Applicants without a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification will be trained and fully supported to achieve the CADC certification as a benefit of employment. While this position will be on-call to provide clinician and crisis support, the typical working hours are expected to be Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. About the Programs Adolescent and Family Services (AFS) has partnered with the Eugene 4J and Bethel School Districts to serve students with substance use and mental health problems by providing counselors who are Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors (CADCs), Qualified Mental Health Associates (QMHAs), and/or Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) at all 4J and Bethel high schools. Depending on credentials, counselors may complete full substance use, behavioral, and/or mental health clinical assessments with students identified as having a potential substance use problem and/or mental health problem and their caregiver(s). Counselors will assist the students in accessing appropriate treatment resources either on-site (i.e., within the school setting) or in the community and/or may provide brief, preventative and harm reduction interventions to the students. In addition, the counselors market his/her services and provide brief substance‑use focused education in identified classrooms, as needed. The Students with Involved Families and Teachers (SWIFT) study is a 5‑year randomized controlled trial of an intervention to support middle school students with emotional and behavioral challenges. This intervention includes (1) skills coaching for students; (2) parent support to promote home‑school collaboration and positive parenting skills; (3) behavioral progress monitoring; and (4) case management of the intervention elements and coordination with the school and collateral agencies. SWIFT supports typically last 9-12 months. Participants referred to the SWIFT Project are referred for behavioral health services related to emotional and behavioral challenges at school. The Clinical Supervisor position is fast‑paced and essential to our team. The AFS and SWIFT programs hope to find a Supervisor who is supportive to the team during tough cases or personal challenges, and who will lead with compassion and attention to self‑care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversees the counselors and interventionists in both the AFS and SWIFT programs with support from senior team members. Responsible for case management duties including participating in special education and other school meetings, collaborating with collateral agencies as needed, and connecting clients with resources as needed. Responsible for developing comprehensive mental health and/or substance use assessments and treatment plans. Supervises parent and youth skills coaches. Provides weekly on‑call availability for supervision of counselors, including but not limited to the management of behavioral crises. Is well‑versed in HIPAA compliance and assists staff in maintaining compliance with all procedures. Attends weekly clinical team meetings; leads weekly clinical team meetings after training period. Performs other related duties as required. Behavioral Competencies Willing to discuss sensitive topics regarding challenging behavior, mental health functioning, substance use, and parenting. Must be comfortable working with clients in their homes, schools, and in the community. Home environments could potentially be in low‑income and/or high crime areas. Must be flexible in working with a population that has a history of poor follow‑through with appointments; persistence is key. Must be comfortable driving clients in the community. Willingness to work with a variety of populations, including vulnerable parents and youth. Must develop rapport with adults and youth and be friendly and respectful with all participants. Must attend to a high level of detail and accurately follow intervention protocols. Must exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies. Will regularly make independent decisions without existing methods and procedures. Must manage own workload and work independently at times with minimal supervision. Must perform work with general direction on routine work and more detailed instruction on new assignments. Must manage own workload and supervise employees performing tasks across multiple functions. Must take the initiative to accomplish project tasks as needed and to apply skills and knowledge to new applications. Excellent interpersonal skills and service‑oriented attitude.
