Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) night shift position requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting with 66 staffed beds
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts starting at 19:00
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
• Floating may be required within the hospital or to a sister campus depending on unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license currently in hand — pending licensure not accepted
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Skills required: IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care and management, peripheral line care, blood product administration, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation, telemetry monitoring, wound care, isolation precautions/PPE, and IV insulin protocols
• Preferred skills include: PICC line management, arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, HFNC, ABG interpretation, CBI, pre/post hemodialysis management, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, and PCA management
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible — local candidates within this radius will not be considered
• Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 4–10 hours) and must be completed before the assignment begins
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days per contract, with approval of only 1 holiday
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice (2 contract limit) before being required to wait 6 months prior to returning
• Scrub color: royal blue and white
• All scheduling and time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
• Royal blue and white scrubs are required
