Information Technology Support Engineer

Park Avenue, Manhattan | $45–$55/hour | Contract-to-Hire We are seeking an experienced Off-Hours IT Support Engineer to provide technical support for a global investment bank headquartered on Park Avenue in Manhattan. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional who enjoys working independently, thrives in a fast-paced enterprise environment, and is looking for the opportunity to demonstrate their technical expertise while supporting a world-class organization. Responsibilities Provide Tier I/II technical support for Windows desktops, laptops, mobile devices, Microsoft 365, VPN, Citrix/VDI, and enterprise applications. Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and account access issues. Manage, prioritize, and resolve Service Desk incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. Support executives and business users in a high-touch, fast-paced environment. Accurately document issues, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and escalations. Escalate critical incidents when appropriate while maintaining ownership through resolution. Utilize periods of low call volume to review ticket queues, update documentation, perform routine maintenance, and prepare for shift handoffs. Serve as the primary onsite IT support resource during assigned overnight shifts. Schedule Three 12-hour shifts per week Regular scheduled shifts are 100% onsite on Park Avenue in Manhattan Approximately one remote on-call week per month During the on-call week, you will be paid for 36 hours regardless of call volume, provided you remain available to respond if needed Qualifications 5+ years of Service Desk, Desktop Support, End User Support, or IT Support experience Strong troubleshooting experience within enterprise Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments Experience supporting Active Directory/Entra ID, VPN, Citrix/VDI, ServiceNow (or a comparable ITSM platform), and enterprise endpoint devices Experience supporting executives or users in a high-touch corporate environment preferred Previous experience supporting 24/7 operations, overnight shifts, on-call rotations, or other off‑hours environments is strongly preferred Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions during overnight coverage Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset Financial services experience is a plus, but not required Compensation $45–$55/hour , based on experience Contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential to convert to a full-time salaried position after approximately 12 months Opportunity to support a premier global investment bank in a highly visible role #J-18808-Ljbffr East End Resources
