Job Summary There is one position which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. Specific Responsibilities Include Supports Fixed Asset Accounting activities for the Virginia Power Distribution and Transmission functions, the service company, and the PowerPlan fixed asset subledger. Responsibilities include capital project closing, account reconciliations, financial controls, and data analysis. Assists with PowerPlan administration and process improvements while serving as the primary point of contact for related invoices. Partners with business, finance, and technology teams to strengthen reporting, data integrity, and PowerPlan processes. Evaluates and applies capitalization policies, researches accounting matters, and contributes to regulatory filings, rate cases, and special projects. Participates in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience Senior Accountant: 5-6+ years of general accounting experience or 4+ years of experience working in public accounting (See note below) Accountant: 2-3 years of general accounting experience or 5+ years of experience working in public accounting (see note below) Note: A Master's degree will count as one year towards the experience requirement. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one full year of experience. What You'll Get Expected Hiring Base Salary Range: Senior Accountant $81900 - $106400 Accountant $65500 - $85400 The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and work location.
