Defense Litigation Attorney

My client, a well-established, mid-sized law firm in Uniondale, NY, that specializes in defense litigation and primarily serves clients within the insurance industry. They are seeking a skilled Litigation Associate to join their dynamic and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in civil and commercial litigation, with a particular focus on liability defense. This role offers the opportunity to manage cases end-to-end and gain exposure across all phases of litigation in both New York State and Federal Courts. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of liability defense matters from inception through resolution Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active admission to the New York State Bar 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in liability defense Strong analytical, research, and litigation skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
