Job Summary :
In the absence of the Director and Manager, provide consistent leadership, communication and supervision to the mammography staff, assuring quality patient care is maintained at all times. Maintains MQSA standards. Fulfills the job duties of other Mammography Technologists.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Assists in hiring, and maintaining staff
2. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to evaluate employee competency
3. Administers disciplinary action in a fair and equitable manner
4. Establish appropriate in service for employee training
5. Supervises and coordinates staff to accommodate operational requirements
6. Maintains patient flow during heavy patient volume
7. Coordinates staff to minimize patient waiting times
8. Maintains inventory levels to comply with established budget
9. Completes annual inventory count in a timely manner
10. Fulfills the job duties of mammography technologist as needed
11. Supports patient's rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural and religious diversity
12. Maintains compliance with the ACR and MQSA accreditation standards
13. Conducts the function of the Lead QC technologist; monitors all testing and results
14. Performs Equp Evaluations on all Anderson Healthcare (AH) Mammographers
15. Oversees all mammography requirements for all Mammography entities for AH.
16. Monitors the requirements for the Breast Imaging radiologists for credentialing.
17. Performs miscellaneous PACS duties such as uploading CD's, MRN corrections, etc
18. Work in collaboration with the Compliance Officer to report any HIPAA breaches
Qualifications
Education Requirements and Other Requirements:
Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent.
Formal radiologic technology training in AMA approved school.
Current BLS: Required
Certification / Licensure: Must be ARRT registered and IEMA licensed unrestricted.
Must be ARRT registered in mammography.
