Job Summary:

Operates Computed Tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues for the diagnosis of medical conditions. Performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including Computed Tomography (CT), general radiography, and fluoroscopy, while ensuring high-quality patient care and imaging standards.

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required

• Radiologic Technologist (RT) License in the state of practice: Required (CA)

• Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography (CT): Required (OR & HI), Preferred (CA)

• Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required

• Fluoroscopy License: Preferred (CA & OR)

• Venipuncture Certification: Preferred (CA & OR)

• ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care for adolescent through geriatric populations.

• Performs Computed Tomography (CT), general radiography, and fluoroscopy procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.

• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.

• Utilizes PACS and teleradiology systems to accurately transfer diagnostic images to the appropriate destination.

• Maintains accurate patient records, imaging documentation, files, and billing information.

• Ensures the integrity, security, and confidentiality of patient medical images and data in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

• Performs routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality assurance activities.

• Maintains adequate inventory of imaging supplies.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
