La Grange RX Tech - Pharmacy Care Representative - Part Time

Responsibilities Customer Service & Patient Care: Provides superior customer service, collaborates with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and PCRs; promotes "Greet, Ask, and Thank" and H-E-B telephone strategies; obtains and verifies prescriptions and demographic info; processes written prescriptions and refill numbers into RXEVO; generates prescription paperwork; files, retrieves, and maintains prescriptions; directs customers to the counseling window; processes customer transactions at the register; maintains manual signature capture receipts; processes prepaid prescriptions; finalizes prescription deliveries; completes patient queue; assists technicians and pharmacists; participates in Rx screening events, flu shot scheduling, immunization, and MTM events; checks in customers for vaccines; may participate in other professional services activities. Inventory Management: Receives OTC inventory; checks delivery accuracy against invoices; contacts H-E-B warehouse or vendor for discrepancies; stages OTC inventory and breaks out into stocking sections; complies with Return to Stock SOP; ensures proper stocking of caps, vials, bags, etc.; records fridge and freezer temperature logs. Compliance & Sanitation: Complies with HIPAA regulations; follows TSBP rules and H-E-B SOPs for patient counseling; processes PSE transactions; follows Central Fill check‑in procedures; maintains presentation, organization, sanitation, and maintenance guidelines; removes trash; follows trash compactor processes. Qualifications Experience: Experience in retail, plus pharmacy experience; fast‑paced environment. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Working knowledge of pharmacy tasks, H‑E‑B RXEVO system, register procedures, H‑E‑B pharmacy SOPs; strong communication and customer service skills; mathematical skills; PC skills (MS Office and H‑E‑B software); cash‑handling skills; ability to remain composed in high‑stress situations; strong telephone etiquette; manage multiple priorities; work in a team; work with little direct supervision; willingness to cross‑train. Education: Equivalency to high school diploma or higher. Licenses/Certifications: Completion of all training and certification such as PCR, RXEVO, HIPAA, FWA, MethGuard, ACR, H‑E‑B Screener certification, and company orientation. Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Work in fast‑paced retail/office environment; rotating shifts, including nights and weekends; stand for extended periods up to 12 hours; lift 30 lbs or more; perform vision requirements; maintain H‑E‑B Rx screener status and recertification.
