Purchasing Specialist As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely fulfillment of orders for all materials and products according to scheduled requirements. You will collaborate closely with various departments to plan for upcoming product needs and communicate effectively with production and suppliers regarding lead‑times and availability of parts and components. You will also develop testing procedures with suppliers and the internal Quality team to maintain high supplier quality levels. Responsibilities Ensure timely order fulfillment for all materials and products according to scheduled requirements. Collaborate with departments to plan for product needs and communicate with suppliers on lead‑times and availability. Develop testing procedures to measure supplier quality and address any issues, taking corrective action as necessary. Build strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable pricing and terms. Maintain the ERP system to manage inventory levels effectively, avoiding stockouts and overstock. Manage inventory levels to meet product demand and maximize cash flow, planning order quantities according to sales forecasts. Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery of parts. Maintain relationships to ensure Bill of Materials is accurate. Essential Skills 2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting. Ability to manage on‑time order fulfillment. Skills to evaluate and manage supplier quality compliance. Working knowledge of ISO9001-2015. Ability to manage supplier and vendor relationships. Skills to negotiate favorable pricing and terms. Familiarity with ERP systems and reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong background in MS Office or equivalent. Attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, specifically in a manufacturing environment. Experience with ERP software systems such as Oracle or SAP. Ability to read blueprints and perform take‑offs. Experience working with engineers and utilizing engineering drawings is a plus. Why Work Here?
