Major Duties and Critical Tasks Work within the Nurse Practice Act, facility policies, and sound nursing judgment. Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care for patients/residents requiring long‑term and/or rehabilitation care. Deliver nursing care to patients/residents requiring long‑term and/or rehabilitative care. Implement the patient/resident plan of care and evaluate the response. Direct and supervise care provided by other nursing personnel. Provide input in the formulation and evaluation of standards of care. Maintain knowledge of necessary documentation requirements. Maintain knowledge of equipment set‑up, maintenance, and use (e.g., monitors, infusion devices, drain devices). Maintain confidentiality and comply with patient/resident rights and all related information. Provide patient/resident/family/caregiver education as appropriate. Conduct self‑professional manner in compliance with unit and facility policies. Work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as scheduled. Required Education and Experience Graduate of a basic professional nursing education program. Minimum of one year of medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care (hospital) or long‑term care setting (acute/critical care preferred). Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state(s) of practice and reliable transportation. Additional Requirements Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening required.
