At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Mammography/DXA Technologist to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Mammographer/DXA Tech is: While following MQSA and ACR guidelines, position patients and imaging equipment precisely for a variety of mammography images and procedures. In Bone Density, demonstrate consistency in precision and repeated positioning of specific anatomy on the same patients and on varied patients. Utilize radiation protection by adhering to ALARA. Demonstrate competence in use of all pertinent electronic health systems Ensure all images are stored in PACS accurately. Participate in QA and QI as determined and required by QA Tech/ Radiation Safety Officer/Manager or Medical Director. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists — Registered in Radiology and Mammography Current BCLS certification ISCD certification in Bone Density is preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate. Two years' experience preferred but not required.
