Substitute School Nurse

Our nursing team works collaboratively with students, families, staff, and community healthcare providers to help ensure students are healthy, supported, and ready to learn. School nurses in the Sioux Falls School District do far more than care for bumps and bruises – they provide compassionate care, manage student health needs, promote wellness, respond to emergencies, and build trusted relationships that help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Requirements & Job Duties Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred Valid South Dakota Registered Nurse license required. Minimum of 3 years nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics and/or community health. Experience working with diabetes, seizures, tracheostomies, and other childhood medical conditions desired. The substitute school nurse must have availability and flexibility to work when called Mon‑Fri between 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (often the day of the need). Assignments may be in any school across the district, working with a variety of student needs. Pay Information Rate: $36.42 per hour Pay Day: Last working day of each month, based on the payroll cutoff schedule. Hours & FTE Monday through Friday, may be called as early as 6:30 am with coverage from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. #J-18808-Ljbffr Sioux Falls School District
