Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marine Human Resouces/Personnel Coordinator to serve as the primary person responsible for all human resources and personnel operations. This role oversees all crew members, regulatory compliance, recruitment, employee relations, and crew logistics to ensure vessels are properly staffed with qualified personnel at all times. The position functions as the central point of coordination between company leadership, vessel captains, and crew members, ensuring efficient personnel management and operational continuity across the fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage all HR and personnel operations
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding to attract and retain qualified maritime personnel
  • Crew scheduling to ensure all vessels are staffed with properly credentialed personnel in compliance with maritime regulations and company standards
  • Communicate directly with captains, crew, and management regarding staffing needs
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive personnel records, employment documentation, and training records
  • Handle employee relations issues, including performance issues and disciplinary actions, while supporting company policies and maintaining a professional work environment.
  • Prepare and issue seaman service (seatime) letters
  • Manage logistical planning for crew changes, including coordinating and booking flights and travel arrangements
  • Prepare timesheets and coordinate payroll related documentation
  • Coordinate employee benefits administration and serve as the primary HR contact for crew members regarding benefits and employment matters

Experience

  • Previous experience in marine personnel coordination, crewing or HR preferred
  • Strong knowledge of maritime credentials (MMC & TWIC)
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
