CNC Machinist/Programmer Sierra Peaks has an opening for a  self-motivated machinist with programming experience   sup porting our Albuquerque, NM facility.

  Must be a US citizen, drug-free and be able to independently program, s et up and operate various CNC equipment using MasterCam.

This individual will be responsible for independently setting up, programming, and machining parts of various complexity and materials.  The machinist is responsible for the accuracy and quality of their parts. They will conduct in-process inspections against the controlled drawings, read and interpret engineering drawings, assure conformity to GD&T, notes, etc, ability to use various measurement tools such as height gauge, calipers, and micrometers. Collaborate in a team  environment on programming, fixturing, and inspection and follow shop processes. 

Candidates need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, standard dimensioning, and GD&T.  

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative in learning new skills and solving new problems, and who works effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Education and Experience:  

·         3+ years of experience in 3, 4, or 5-axis milling programming MasterCam

·         Experience with Haas or Mazak milling machines
