As a Field Sales Representative, you will represent a leading internet service provider within assigned communities. You will engage residents directly, identify their connectivity needs, explain available internet services, and guide qualified customers from initial conversation through installation.

This is not simply an order-taking role. DevCom representatives educate customers, build community trust, and remain accountable for the quality of every customer relationship they establish. Our success is measured by the satisfaction of the customers we serve.

What You Will Do

• Conduct face-to-face residential outreach within an assigned territory.

• Ask thoughtful discovery questions to understand each household’s connectivity needs.

• Introduce customers to highly competitive internet service solutions.

• Clearly explain products, pricing, promotions, installation expectations, and service terms.

• Earn customer commitments.

• Accurately complete and submit customer orders using company-provided systems.

• Track customer interactions, follow-up activity, and territory progress using company-provided territory management software.

• Follow up with customers as needed to support successful installation.

• Coordinate with leadership and operational teams to resolve customer or installation obstacles.

• Develop familiarity with the neighborhoods, residents, competitive conditions, and opportunities within your territory.

• Represent DevCom and its clients with authenticity, precision, and consistency.

• Participate in training, coaching, performance reviews, and team initiatives.

• Comply with all company, client, regulatory, and customer privacy requirements.

Experience We Value

Previous sales experience is welcome but not required. We value transferable experience from education, teaching, coaching, customer service, retail, hospitality, fundraising, promotions, canvassing, community outreach, entrepreneurship, and other dynamic, public-facing professions.

Experience in field sales, direct sales, ISP or telecommunications services, home services, territory development, or commission-based work is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to learn and accurately communicate internet service offerings.

• Ability to work independently within an assigned territory.

• Ability to use mobile applications and digital systems for customer orders, communication, and reporting.

• Reliable transportation to and within assigned territories.

• Ability to work during the days and hours when residential customers are most accessible, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends as required by the market.

• Ability to perform field-based work outdoors and travel throughout residential neighborhoods in varying conditions.

• Ability to satisfy applicable background, client authorization, licensing, or identification requirements.

Compensation

This is a 100% commission-based position with no fixed base compensation. Representatives earn attractive compensation for winning customers who successfully complete internet service installation.

The commission structure provides uncapped earning potential, with additional variable bonus opportunities that may be available based on individual performance, team objectives, market priorities, promotional campaigns, and other defined business goals.
