General Summary The Field Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales and sales leads within an assigned geographical area by engaging with residential prospects, understanding each prospect’s needs and challenges, and proposing TruVista products and services. The role involves using a company‑owned vehicle or a personally owned vehicle with mileage reimbursement based on IRS published mileage rate. Essential Job Functions Market TruVista services by presenting products and services in a door‑to‑door environment to generate sales and sales leads in neighborhoods and other residential locations within an assigned geographical area. Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales quota and other goals set forth by the Director of D2D and MDU Sales. Develop a high level of understanding of TruVista products, services and fiber advantages to effectively discuss services with residents. Build rapport quickly to generate sales and sales leads. Overcome objections quickly to generate sales and sales leads. Work flexible hours – including evenings and Saturdays. Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record. Work at multiple locations within a territory – including Chester, Fairfield, Kershaw, Richland County and other extended areas required. Perform all other related duties as assigned by management. Planning and Organizing – Prioritize and plan work effectively, use time efficiently. Math Skills – Calculate adjustments, discounts, pro‑rata, percentages, apply basic accounting concepts. Professionalism – Maintain professional appearance; treat others with respect, handle pressure calmly, accept responsibility. Computer Skills – Solid operating knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and order processing software. Qualifications High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training. Industry experience preferred. Experience in cable, wireless or other telecommunications products a plus. Prior sales experience with persuasion techniques required. Motivated and capable of working with little supervision. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Complete pre‑employment background screening with favorable results.
