Tax Operations Manager

Play a Key Role in Strengthening Our Tax Operations Vrakas CPAs + Advisors is seeking a Tax Operations Manager to join our Brookfield office. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and collaborative professional who enjoys improving processes, enhancing workflows, and supporting teams in delivering high-quality work. You’ll partner closely with tax leadership to strengthen how our tax department operates, driving efficiency, consistency, and a strong client service experience. Responsibilities Operational Coordination Support day-to-day operations of the tax department, including workflow optimization, resource planning, and process support Assist in improving efficiency and productivity while maintaining high service standards Partner with tax leadership to support departmental goals and priorities Provide regular updates on workflow status, production metrics, and capacity Assist with billing support and operational coordination Help manage vendor relationships, including software contracts and renewals Process & Workflow Management Identify inefficiencies in tax processes and recommend practical improvements Help streamline workflows to ensure timely completion and adherence to filing deadlines Support consistency and quality across teams and offices Maintain and monitor workflow tracking tools, deadlines, and deliverables Technology & Systems Support Develop working knowledge of tax software and workflow tools Assist in evaluating and optimizing systems and processes Support the implementation and integration of new tools and technologies Contribute to process improvements through automation and innovation Training & Support Assist in coordinating training plans for staff Help maintain a centralized tax training library and resources Support annual tax update training and ongoing learning initiatives Compliance & Risk Awareness Support adherence to tax regulations and internal quality standards Assist in identifying operational risks and escalating concerns as needed Contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience in professional services, operations, project coordination, or a client-focused environment Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, communications, HR, or related field Strong organizational skills with experience managing workflows, deadlines, and competing priorities Ability to collaborate with and support cross-functional teams and leadership Experience with workflow tools, operational systems, or project tracking systems preferred Process improvement mindset with strong attention to detail With competitive pay, a strong 401(k) and profit-sharing plan, comprehensive benefits, and generous paid time off, there’s no shortage of reasons to jump aboard.
